The ajar door gave me signs
someone inside, but still wasn't
the emptiness howled, my heart cried
she had left me, but the open door gave me hope.
My sadness, tears failed to percieve
my love,she denied to concur
A dim shadow glittered, fooled me again
my life at the mercy of her steps
Yes she left me.
All wishes granted, still one remained
a hole in my soul, I feared to fill
but the open door gave me hope.
Eyes wandered, now unsure what they searched for
the deafening song of silence
the coolness of the winter floor
the sneering laughter of the walls
elements made me lose my sanity.
Midnight moon gleamed and glanced
eyes closed, I felt the pain
my muted lips did speak,
a speach left unheard
A lifeless carcass lay in the corner
Never so dearly had anyone wanted death.
The mocking wind blew again
closed shut my open door
My legs shivered, my heart froze
She would never return....
